We help shape communities by identifying challenges, formulating solutions, and managing successful project completion . We are currently seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Assistant with an interest in professional marketing services to work at McGill’s Hickory office. This position will join an innovative team who is passionate about continuous improvement and moving McGill forward using the latest marketing practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Assistant must have an eye for detail, composition, and creative / technical writing skills. This position assists with social media, content development, proposal generation, data management, along with conferences and events. The Marketing Assistant develops both written and visual content to be published on the website, shared on social media, submitted for presentations, and utilized in marketing materials. This position will include gathering content, graphics, and relevant information on McGill’s key personnel, projects, and clients and ensuring the proposal submission is high quality and submitted on time. He or she will also assist with data entry for our Customer Relationship Management (CRM), by entering and maintaining data for projects. The Marketing Assistant will provide general office support to the marketing and business development teams as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or similar field of study is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing services, proposal development, graphic design, or other relevant experience required
- Must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign / Photoshop / Premier Pro), Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in WordPress and social media platforms is required
- Strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills required
- Ability to work under stringent deadlines
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- High level of design sensibility
- Excellent grammar, attention to detail and ability to proof your own work and edit others work
