McGill Junge Wealth Management (MJWM), a rapidly growing financial planning and advisory firm based in Des Moines Iowa is looking to hire an Operations Associate. This individual will have the opportunity to grow and be a part of a national wealth management team that delivers customized wealth management and investment strategies, complex financial planning, and retirement income distribution strategies for our clients. The Operations Associate will have access to training opportunities structured to enhance their business acumen while further developing their professional and technical skills. We serve emerging affluent, high net-worth and ultra-high net-worth individuals, families, and business clients.
Role Profile: The Operations Associate role will be responsible for a variety of tasks and services we provide for our clients and in service to our team members. In collaboration with our Insurance Operations leadership and other team members such as office coordinator, marketing, and client service, this individual will focus on policy owner services, new business support, CRM maintenance and analytics, licensing, and reporting. This position will also serve as back up as needed for Office Coordinator, including reception, and Director of Insurance Operations.
Policy Owner Services
· Work internally with Lead Advisors and Client Service team, as well as directly with clients, to understand and execute policy service maintenance, including beneficiary changes, claims, bank payment updates, agent of record changes, and more.
· Communicate with clients and advisors as needed to ensure timeliness of policy premium payments
· Support changes to existing client policies
· Facilitate client requests for information, such as pulling in force reports and illustrations
· Manage policy delivery and reporting
New Business Support
· Assist with client data gathering to support new business applications
· Support illustration requests for new business as needed
· Complete new business insurance applications as needed
· Work with outside broker for insurance and annuity policy quotes and applications
CRM Maintenance and Analytical Support
· Assist team members with maintaining accurate client data in CRM
· Conduct routine quality reviews to ensure data is accurate and consistent
· Conduct record maintenance for new clients, including working with Joint Work partners as needed
· Ensure CRM tasks are assigned for new clients
· Help manage weekly CRM reports for ongoing meetings
Insurance Licensing/Securities Registration
· Review opportunities to ensure all necessary insurance licenses and securities registrations are in place for states in
which we are conducting business
· Obtain new licenses and registrations as needed
· Maintain documentation for licenses and registrations in place
· Conduct annual review of licenses and registrations, including processing of renewals
Reporting
· Compile monthly sales data for new clients and conduct related research and reporting
· Monitor accuracy of team tasks completion
· Support new business pipeline progress by identifying gaps and overdue activities.
· Distribute weekly new business opportunity lists
Team Responsibilities

Qualifications:
· 2 year degree in business, accounting, or finance desired
· 1-3 years prior experience in insurance and/or financial services preferred
· Iowa Life and Health Insurance License (preferred or obtainable within 6 months on the job)
· Completion of Northwestern Mutual Essentials training (preferred or obtainable within one month on the job)
· Prior CRM database management preferred
· A well-rounded background with an interest in providing exceptional support to team members & clients
· Experience managing multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner
· Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
· Possess financial, business, and analytical acumen
· Microsoft Office proficiency
· Prior Customer service experience
