COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER- INTERNAL LEAD
The primary role of the Communications Manager - Internal Lead is to oversee and implement communications plans designed to improve information and communication amongst employees, drive employee engagement and foster employee retention. The Communications Manager reports to the Senior Communications Manager and is a key leader in driving communications activities for the business. This position's primary responsibility will be creating strategic internal communications plans and execution of plans across core company geographies. Additional responsibilities can include supporting core organizational functions to drive business goals including : employee training and HR, operational excellence (safety, innovation, project controls, etc.), regional operations, DEI and executive leadership. This person should display a strategic mindset, a high level of attention-to-detail, strong writing capabilities, and a natural ability to "see" and raise the questions that need to be asked to isolate and deliver impactful messages.

Qualifications : Required :
- Four-year college degree
- Experience executing internal communications programs
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, including short-form, long-form editorial and creative writing
- Exceptional content planning, forecasting, and campaign management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to influence without authority
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, yet to exercise good judgment in seeking supervisory guidance when appropriate
- Understanding of current communication strategies and familiarity with internal communication tools including Sharepoint and Office 365
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- At least 5 years' experience in marketing, marketing communications, communications, PR, media relations or similar role - internal communications preferred

This is a low-travel position based preferably in McGough's HQ - MN. Occasional in-town travel and overnight travel may be required. Hybrid - flexible schedule.

Occasionally, employee will be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
