Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced commercial roofing foreman to lead our construction team in executing various projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in roofing, with a particular focus on rubber roofing, sheet metal, and various other roofing systems. As a foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safety standards on-site. This role requires effective communication skills, leadership abilities, and a hands-on approach to project management.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers on-site to ensure efficient workflow.
- Provide timely and quality installation of all assigned Roofing projects in the field.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely while ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols.
- Perform heavy lifting and assist with the fabrication of materials as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of work completed to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in construction techniques and safety measures.
- Manage project timelines and report progress to upper management regularly.
- Address any issues that arise on-site promptly to minimize delays.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisor or supervisory role within the roofing industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing techniques, including rubber roofing installation, sheet metal work, flashing, and waterproofing systems.
- Proficiency in using power tools and equipment safely.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required by the job.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required for site travel.
