What are the responsibilities and job description for the Center Assistant Float position at McGregor PACE?
McGregor PACE is a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) that provides an alternative to nursing home placement by enabling seniors to remain at home, in the community.
We are seeking Full -time Center Assistant Floats, Monday-Friday, DAY SHIFT ONLY (no evenings, weekends, or holidays).
Our Center Assistant Floats (CAFs) are responsible for providing personal care, safety, and engagement for program participants attending the PACE adult day centers. Center Assistant Floats will be expected to greet and screen each participant and assist them with ADL / IADLs such as toileting, bathing, feeding, laundry, and meal service. They will also encourage and assist with participation in recreational activities occasionally, are required to home care service support when needed, and may accompany participants on medical appointments. Candidates must possess a positive and supportive attitude, be flexible, and team-oriented.
Qualifications :
1. State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) preferred, or Certified Nursing Assistant, or Home Health Aide certification required
2. High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
3. Experience in a nursing facility, hospital adult day care, or home care is desirable.
4. Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation, required
5. Bilingual English / Spanish a PLUS!
