ACCOUNTING MANAGER

SHIFT : Full-Time, Days On-Site

ANNUAL SALARY : $85,000 - $90,000, depending on experience

JOB SUMMARY : The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting and financial reporting function for a portfolio of Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs).

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Supervise a team of 1-2 accountants who are responsible for completing daily accounting tasks, including monthly close activities and preparation of financial statements

Analyze, review, and accumulate financial data to prepare financial statements and reports for both internal and external purposes

Maintain an advanced understanding of revenue cycle including reimbursement methodologies to ensure net patient revenue is accurately reflected on the financial statements

Support the development and monitoring of the operating and cash budgets

Coordinate the annual financial audit and the preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports

Provide analytical support to management and ownership to assist in profitability analysis, cash budget analysis, reimbursement analysis, and return on investment as required

Utilize your knowledge of accounting concepts, theories, principles, practices, and regulations to effectively and efficiently address problems and projects as they arise

Respect the right to privacy and security of PHI (Protected Health Information)

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education : Minimum : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience : Minimum : 4 years of accounting experience with supervisory capacity

Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles

Preferred : Knowledge of the Healthcare Industry, especially the SNF Industry

CPA Certification, not necessary

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills

Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
