Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipelayer to join our team. As a Pipelayer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient installation and maintenance of water mains, storm sewer, along with all appurtenances and ensuring the safe and timely delivery of projects. This position requires a strong background in heavy equipment operation, pipeline construction, and utility locating.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, and excavators to move soil, gravel, and other materials as needed for pipeline construction and maintenance.
- Dig trenches and excavate areas to lay pipe and perform utility locating.
- Lay and connect pipes using specialized tools and equipment, including concrete forming and finishing.
- Ensure all pipeline installations meet safety and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient construction process.
- Identify and address any issues or problems that arise during the installation process.
Skills
- Experience in pipeline construction and maintenance.
- Knowledge of utility locating and concrete finishing techniques.
- Ability to operate safely and efficiently in a construction site environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet safety and quality standards.
- Experience with concrete forming and plumb techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly and concisely.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CDL A license
- Experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically backhoe, excavator, and concrete finishing
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and pipe laser operation
- Knowledge of construction sites, concrete forming, pipeline work, and utility locating

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
