Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Pump Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly in concrete pumping, and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of concrete to job sites. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete forming and finishing processes, as well as mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
Responsibilities
- Operate concrete pumps and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Ensure the proper setup and calibration of pumping equipment for each job.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members to determine the best methods for delivering concrete.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on pumping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of concrete from mixers and dump trucks.
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding safety protocols and project updates.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies while operating machinery on-site.
- Provide support in other areas such as concrete forming and finishing when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with concrete pumping machinery.
- Familiarity with dump trucks, loaders, commercial vehicles, and concrete mixers is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Valid driver's license; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Commitment to safety practices and procedures in all aspects of work.
