Call Center Agent (Full-Time)
Location: Dora Street Health Center – Ukiah, CA
Organization: Mendocino Community Health Clinic (MCHC)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
MCHC is currently hiring a full-time Call Center Agent to join our dedicated team at the Dora Street Health Center. We are seeking a calm, customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing excellent service to every patient.
As a Call Center Agent, you will be the first point of contact for many patients—playing a vital role in creating a positive experience. This position is responsible for answering calls, managing appointments, updating patient records, and ensuring all interactions are handled with professionalism, compassion, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the welcoming voice of MCHC through courteous, positive, and professional communication.
- Efficiently manage a high-volume, multi-line phone system to answer, screen, and route incoming calls.
- Listen to and manage voicemails, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments based on availability and insurance guidelines.
- Provide accurate information regarding clinic services, directions, departments, and policies.
- Maintain and update patient demographic and insurance information to ensure data accuracy.
- Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality in strict accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Stay informed on the services and availability of MCHC’s Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Care for Her, and Specialty providers.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of the Call Center.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience in a related field, preferably in a dental or medical reception setting
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent)
Salary : $21 - $28
