What You'll Do:
Monthly Financial Operations:
- Oversee monthly closing processes
- Prepare and upload month-end journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheets
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
- Analyze variances and create financial reports
- Monitor cash flow and support cash management
- Review and validate financial statements
Annual Processes & Compliance:
- Support UDS reporting
- Assist with annual budget preparation
- Participate in external audits
- Ensure GAAP compliance
- Support year-end closing and regulatory filings
Organizational Support:
- Provide grant accounting assistance
- Review and post complex journal entries
- Develop and document accounting procedures
- Support system implementation projects
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
Team Collaboration:
- Serve as backup for staff as needed
- Join team meetings and planning sessions
- Build strong relationships with partners
- Contribute to departmental strategic planning (OKRs)

Requirements:Required Qualifications
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, vlookups, complex formulas)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience with major ERP systems
- Nonprofit accounting experience
- Grant accounting knowledge
- Experience in shared services or multi-entity accounting
- Project management experience
