- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience in general transportation operations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Able to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
- Responsible for assisting in the overall direction of the transportation office in accordance with the Director of Transportation.
- Responsible for routing on a daily basis, in addition to troubleshooting, evaluating efficiency of daily operations in accordance with board policy, established procedures and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Assists with time and attendance records for accuracy and compliance in accordance with district payroll department requirements.
- Assists Director of Transportation when working with principals, parents, and bus drivers regarding student conduct.
- Assists Traffic Managers in the maintenance and updating of student files.
- May assist in attending accident/crash scenes as necessary.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping.
- Willingness and ability to attend training for computerized routing programs as necessary.
- Acts as a liaison with parents regarding concerns for transportation services.
- Performs routine duties including, but not limited to: answering phones, processing messages, monitoring radio communication with the drivers, relaying information as needed, and processing bus videos.
- May be required to drive bus routes as needed.
- Collaborates with Director of Transportation during inclement weather.
- May carry out supervisory duties under the discretion of the Director of Transportation.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation.
