Looking for a licensed Pharmacy Technician to work full-time as a floater technician.
We're a family-owned and operated chain of independent pharmacies. This position requires working at several of our store locations in the Columbia, SC area.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about healthcare, possess strong organizational skills, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Must have proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician working in a pharmacy setting.
The position will include the following:
- Read and interpret physician's medication orders
- Aid in filling, processing, and dispensing medications
- Re-package and label medications
- Adhere to safety practices in order to ensure quality care for patients
- Help maintain the drug inventory through inventory control practices
- Provide customer service by answering phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
- Triage requests and prioritize them
- Check for expiration dates on medications on a regular basis
- Interact in a professional and courteous manor with the customers and other associates
- Work the cash register on a regular basis
- Maintain an optimal level of customer service and ensure optimal satisfaction
- Analyze issues and provide effective resolutions
The successful candidate will possess exceptional customer service and teamwork skills. The ability to be flexible and able to learn new procedures and skills is a must.
Previous experience with PioneerRx (pharmacy management software) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications.
- Accurately label medications and ensure proper storage and handling.
- Provide customer service by answering phone calls, addressing questions, and assisting patients.
- Process medication orders and verify prescription information.
- Manage inventory by checking stock levels, ordering supplies, and removing expired medications.
- Maintain and update patient medication records.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and pharmacy policies.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing insurance claims.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
