Position Summary and Key Responsibilities
The instructor will be required to teach a myriad of courses and be able to supervise practicums and internships. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for teaching, a deep understanding of leadership methodologies, and a strong background as a K-12 and/or district leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging curriculum fin various subject areas, including but not limited to principal preparation, superintendent preparation, research methodology, assessment, and school law.
- Facilitate meaningful classroom discussions, group activities, and hands-on teaching experiences to develop students' leadership skills.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and effective leadership strategies.
- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to aspiring leaders to enhance their skills.
- Stay current with best practices in K-12 education and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
- Supervise students in the field during practicums and internships.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Education or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of K-12 Leadership experience in a public or private school setting.
- A strong understanding of various leadership methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into the curriculum.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive academic community.
- A passion for teaching and a dedication to shaping the next generation of educational leaders.
