Current Need

The McKesson Category Management team is hiring an OSW Sourcing Specialist in either Irving TX or Alpharetta GA.

Position Description

Responsible for tactical sourcing activities across all categories including, but not limited to category baselining, profiling and preparation, execution, and analysis of sourcing events. Works with Sourcing and Category Leads to define requirements and support all aspects of project and contract work.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate policy guidelines to Category Managers to ensure correct categorization of spend
• Assist and educate Category Lead on processes and policies to improve cycle times
• PMO Compliance Adherence
• Assist the Category Lead in defining the category strategy to grow spend under management and deliver savings, providing data, insights and recommendations
• Support sourcing event by providing a current state assessment, market analysis, potential suppliers and related capabilities, any available benchmarking and identifying the total cost of ownership (TCO)
• Prepare the bid evaluation analysis for Sourcing & Category Management teams, including qualitative information provided by supplier and supplier pricing structure
• Drive comparative supplier analysis by utilizing decision matrices and evaluating supplier responses based on agreed upon scoring criteria
• Perform response reporting and scenario analysis as input for final supplier selection
• Support in the development of 3-sourcing strategies and plans for respective categories, examples include ideal lot sizing for e-biding event as well as support the e-bidding event under supervision of Category Leads and resolve any questions from supplies and stakeholders where necessary.
• Provide ad hoc analysis as needed.
• Tier 2 support for all McKesson Virtual Team SOW activities

Minimum Requirements

Degree, or equivalent, and typically requires 2 years of relevant experience.

• 0 – 3 years of procurement or supply chain experience
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills required; Experience using VMS technologies, Ariba Sourcing and Procurement solutions highly desirable
• Report generation experience, including use of MS Excel
