Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in various financial software and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Duties
- Prepare daily deposits.
- Post daily deposits against accounts receivable.
- Call on Accounts Receivable for collection purposes.
- Provide daily and weekly reporting to Management as directed.
- Invoice installation jobs and T&M work.
- Maintain Job Logs and set up newly sold jobs per the company’s stated procedure for establishing new jobs.
- Process customer financing.
- Update job files and billing records with change orders, price T&M’s if necessary
- Order extended warranties
- Assist managers with written correspondence to vendors & customers as needed.
- Complete required operations reports as directed
- Create sales reports weekly and at month-end
- Process checks for payment against Accounts Payable and Notes Payable, maintaining a good credit standing.
- Job cost every 5th job or as directed.
- Maintain all Co-op programs offered to the company.
- Maintain current pricing on all job cost spreadsheets.
- Purge old files periodically to archive..
- Maintain all insurance data, including policies, certificates of insurance, vehicle insurance, etc.
- Credit approval for new contractors and service customers setting up accounts
- Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts at month end and update General Ledger with Accountants adjustments.
- Back-up Phone System during high call volume
- Register equipment sales for customer warranty, rebate, and spiff programs
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting is essential.
- Proficient in using Quickbooks financial software
- Strong skills in budgeting are advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly through report writing and presentations.
