Title – Project Scheduler (Construction Industry)
McKissack (120-years of Construction Legacy) is actively seeking a highly motivated Project Scheduler for employment to work on the NYC Borough Based Jail (BBJ) Program.
The $16 Billion NYC Borough-Based Jail Program is comprised of the procurement, programming, design, and construction of four new borough-based jails. This program is managed by the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC).
As a Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing two (2) two facility projects.
It is essential that you possess excellent communication and team building skills.
You must have the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and with full transparency.
Additionally, you must be knowledgeable and responsible for developing, reviewing, reporting, and supervising construction schedules for high-rise facilities.
The Project Scheduler will be responsible for managing two Project Site Facilities
The position requires is Full-time onsite attendance
Occasional travel to facilities, as needed
Responsibilities:
Your duties and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
Perform schedule reviews, prepare bi-weekly, and monthly schedule update analysis reports, investigate Produce Progress Reviews:
Reviewing Schedule Logic, Sequencing, Constraints
Reviewing Float assigned to activities in the schedule
Reviewing Cost, Resources, and Earned Value
Reviewing Critical/Longest Path(s) & Near-Critical Path(s)
Analyze schedule impacts and recommend corrective action plan to be taken to mitigate/avoid cost and schedule overruns
Develop, update, and maintain schedules (cost and resource loaded)
Monitor, review, and report to Program Scheduler, Senior and Executive Management the
schedule status of the project
Present project in meetings with owner, A/E representatives and other Contractors, as required
Develop “What-If” schedule scenarios, mitigation schedules, look-ahead schedules, time impact analysis
Delay Analysis: Assessment and evaluation of all delays analysis/DB’s claims
Identify schedule issues, opportunities, and corrective actions to mitigate potential delays to Projects
Skills:
As a Project Scheduler, you must possess the following abilities:
Must have Time Impact Analysis (TIA) expertise
Required experience in institutional and vertical (high-rise) construction, with a preference for detention facility projects
Thorough understanding of vertical construction processes, including construction methods and best practices
Must conduct regular on-site walk-throughs
Ability to clearly communicate the details and intricacies of the ongoing vertical construction to the Client
Proficient in using Primavera P6, MS Project and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation, development of resource loaded Design and Construction Schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM)
Relevant construction scheduling experience in planning, scheduling, expediting, maintaining, and reporting the progress/status of work
Must have reliable, proven, and verifiable record of career stability and scheduling success
Strong communications and relationship-building skills
Understanding of Earned Value Analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction management
10 - 15 years of experience in planning and scheduling / project controls; experience on multiple sides of the business (i.e., Consultant, Owner, Owner Representative, Architect, Contractor, Engineer)
Field experience, is a must
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $145,600.00 - $166,400.00 per year
