Job Description:
Technico Construction Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler to develop and manage detailed project schedules for large, complex construction projects. Responsibilities include coordinating with project managers and contractors, preparing monthly schedule updates, identifying potential conflicts, and proposing solutions using Primavera scheduling software. The ideal candidate has 10-12 years of experience in project scheduling, a strong understanding of construction processes, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with project managers and contractors to gather project information.
- Develop detailed baseline schedules.
- Prepare monthly schedule updates, narratives, and reports for management and clients.
- Identify potential scheduling conflicts and propose solutions.
- Ensure that all project activities are aligned with the schedule.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential delays.
- Experience in the developing of logical sequencing of the work, contract durations and phasing.
- Ability to work closely with clients, and project managers to successfully schedule and coordinate all phases of the construction process.
- Ability and the understanding to fully utilize the computer program Primavera/Expedition.
- Experience in the review and analysis of claims, time extensions, and impact on costs.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- At least 10-12 years’ experience in construction project scheduling and project controls, at least five (5) of which are on highly complex or large (>$50 million) projects, with 5-8 years of direct hands-on experience as a scheduler, specifically using Primavera scheduling software.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat)
