McKnight Place Extended Care is dedicated to providing exceptional care and enhancing the quality of life for our residents. As a key member of our team, the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will contribute significantly to maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment.
Responsibilities :
Assist in the overall management and supervision of the nursing department.
Lead the recruitment, scheduling, and performance evaluation of nursing personnel.
Oversee and ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Provide direct resident care as required.
Facilitate effective communication among nursing staff.
Collaborate on the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
Ensure timely resident care conferences.
Adhere to established policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook and Nursing Departmental Manual.
Report maintenance and safety concerns to the appropriate departments.
Maintain and update nursing reference materials.
Manage departmental expenditures within budgetary guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
Minimum of two years of nursing management experience (three to five years preferred).
Strong understanding of nursing principles and practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to understand and follow complex instructions.
Proficient in written and spoken English.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to walk, stand, and use hands frequently.
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally.
Adequate hearing and vision.
Ability to work in an indoor environment with potential exposure to chemicals and equipment.
