Develop the vision and strategic objectives for maximizing efficiency and customer satisfaction through innovative warehouse solutions and data analytics. Work collaboratively with operational leadership, Sales, and senior leadership to ensure that the McLane strategy aligns with future customer needs, e-commerce strategy, and other growth initiatives. Oversee Company Engineered Standard programs and help drive productivity improvements. Build multiple teams and work across the McLane businesses to deliver scalable technologies to improve productivity and tracking capabilities in the warehouse operation. Develop short-, mid- and long-term product roadmaps and visions, and ensure teams are appropriately staffed, motivated, engaged, and well prepared to advance the goals of the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Accountable for driving productivity through methods improvements, layouts, warehouse slotting, the use of technology and other means.
  • Serve as leadership sponsor for vendor partnerships and service support programs.
  • Align and manage capital and expense budgets.
  • Partner with industry experts to identify strategic new technologies and warehousing solutions to advance the operational efficiencies of the enterprise.
  • Lead Change Management Efforts: Partner with executive and divisional senior leadership teams to drive internal change management efforts, including collaboratively establishing strategy.
  • Provide strong operational leadership and foster an operational culture that drives structured and disciplined program execution and performance.
  • Ensure operational KPI management and reporting of Labor standards systems align with executive leadership across the Grocery and Foodservice enterprise.
  • Identify warehouse efficiency implications and opportunities resulting from major corporate strategies and change initiatives.
  • Evaluate and challenge current operations to identify opportunities for strategic improvements.
  • Oversee network-wide implementations of Engineered standards and slotting solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor business practices and technological advances which may offer competitive advantages.
  • Develop strategies, systems, processes, and tools to achieve operational results and efficiencies across the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business preferred, other applicable degrees with accompanying experience will be considered.
  • Experience in implementing large-scale program implementations.
  • 12 years of related industry experience.
  • 7 years' experience managing diverse and remote teammates.
  • Experience in concurrent program development and implementation across enterprise.
  • Deep understanding of distribution center operations and inventory management best practices.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to advocate for and present recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into an executable plan.
  • Experience in strategic enterprise planning and execution.
  • Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with and managing multiple Standards systems (Blue Yonder, Manhattan or Argent), preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Office environment.
  • This position requires 50-70% travel.
