As the Forklift Operator of McLane Global, you will use a stand-up reach truck and an electric pallet jack to unload trucks in a quick, safe, and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for putting products away into racking, assisting on special projects, and loading outbound trucks. This role will be critical in providing world-class service to our clients and to the daily performance of the warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate stand-up reach trucks and electric pallet jacks
- Perform daily functions of loading/unloading trucks, put away, picking, and packing
- Ability to use basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, and multiplying
- Document damages, overages and shortages according to company guidelines
- Ensure accurate order numbers and correct shipping labels are included on each pallet
- Perform cycle counts as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness in and around the warehouse
- Assist in all aspects of the business
- All other duties as assigned
- Minimum experience of 1-year operating stand-up reach trucks and electric jacks
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to be on feet on cement floors for long periods of time
- Must be safety conscience and operate equipment in a safe manner
- Must be willing to work in a team environment
- Able to demonstrate problem solving skills in high-stress situations
- Must be flexible to schedule changes
- Must have basic math skills
- Ability to work independently with general supervision
- Able to read, write and speak English
