Department : Food & Nutritional ServicesShift : DayDaily Work Times : VST 0500-2200Scheduled Bi-weekly Hours : 0Position Summary : Assembles and serves meals. Cleans and sanitizes utensils and equipment.Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Sets up, organizes, cleans and maintains work area.Assembles, serves, and delivers meals; sets up items for special functions and fills requisitions.Performs clean-up duties after meals and special functions; picks up patient trays.Inspects trays, food carts and items for special functions, for accuracy.Portions food according to established standards.Prepares side dishes, sort-order items, nourishment’s, cold plates, and beverages.Maintains patient / dietary records and reports.Cleans and sanitizes utensils and equipment.Performs mathematical calculations for items such as, but not limited to, tube feedings, diets, and recipes.Maintains an accurate accounting of cash and prices.Answers telephone; gives limited information; takes and relays messages.Performs dietary functions of the Patient Information System.Responsible for using and cleaning equipment safely and correctly.Participates in performance improvement activities.Performs other related duties as required and directed.Qualifications : Required : Valid Michigan drivers license, and a driver’s record approved by the Medical Center’s insurance agent for those employees who drive a vehicle as a requirement for the job (If Applicable)Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities / Females / Disabled / VeteransWe are committed to encouraging and sustaining a work environment free of unlawful harassment, discrimination, and / or retaliation.
