Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Uses independent judgment to exercise authority on behalf of the Medical Center,
- Disciplining subordinates according to Medical Center procedure,
- Assigning work to employees and directing the workflow in area of jurisdiction,
- Resolving employee complaints/concerns,
- Conducting periodic performance appraisal interviews with subordinates if requested/assigned.
- Responsible for ensuring patient placement is timely and appropriate, based on patient
- Assesses, prioritizes and allocates the resources necessary to address the needs of
- Responsible for timely, concise and professional communication.
- Assists managers/directors in relaying pertinent information to staff and reinforcing changes in policies and procedures.
- Provides feedback to Patient Care Services Administration regarding concerns, suggestions and/or significant events.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, or Associate’s Degree in Nursing with three (3) year of nursing experience
- Valid Michigan Registered Nurse license
- CPR issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Two years clinical experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Supervisory experience
