Job Overview
Assists the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and supervising the activities of the personnel who provide care and nursing services. Responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in the development and implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with Federal and State regulations. In the absence of the Director of Nursing will assume all leadership responsibilities of the Nursing Department to ensure the delivery of safe and quality care to residents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with development and implementation of nursing services, objectives and policies and procedures
- Collaborates and supports nursing staff. Responsible for direct supervision of patient care shift supervisors and staffing coordinator.
- Shares responsibility for backing up nursing staff 24 hour per day, 7 day per week basis; rotates on call with Director of Nursing.
- In the absence of the Director of Nursing will perform the duties of the Director of Nursing..
- Assists with the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) in developing, implementing and analyzing appropriate plans of action.
- Assists in overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the nursing department; including interviewing and hiring as well as planning, assigning and directing work.
- Assist with review of resident referrals for admission.
- Conducts building rounds to identify and resolve issues.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Current licensure as a registered nurse
- BLS certification
- Two years of experience in Long Term Care
- Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Progressive leadership experience as charge nurse/supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
- Experience with staffing

Pay: $71,073.60 - $113,734.40 per year
