As a Human Resources Intern at Mclaurin Aerospace, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources, including onboarding, timekeeping, HR compliance, employee engagement, and HR administration. Responsibilities:- Support onboarding for new hires.
- Maintain and update HR records, including employee databases and personnel files.
- Assist with timekeeping, benefits administration, and compliance-related tasks.
- Research and contribute to HR policies and best practices.
- Handle general HR administrative tasks and respond to employee inquiries.
- Create and update HR procedure documents
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of HR software or applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable mindset with a passion for HR.
Requirements:
Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible to apply, although undergraduate candidates should have completed at least 60 credit hours of undergraduate coursework. This position is located at the Mclaurin Aerospace research facility in downtown Knoxville, TN near the campus of the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.
