We have an exciting opportunity for a Orion Lab Integration Engineer to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.
If Selected You Will
- Serve as the Senior Engineer for the Cross-Program and Lab Integration activities of the Orion Program with the Avionics Systems Division
- Analyze and assess technical and programmatic integration activities and provide strategic guidance
- Facilitate cross-program testing in the Orion Test Labs, serving as a point-of-contact to coordinate logistics, shift scheduling, and needed lab configuration
- Avionics, software, and system-level test planning and execution in support of the Orion and other programs lab testing for integration, verification, and validation activities
- Negotiate and track schedules with hardware and software dependencies including deliverables to and from external organizations
- Jointly manages with the prime contractor the overall test and integration approach for cross program avionics and software testing
- Supports and facilitates re-planning efforts to accommodate emerging issues and risks such as late deliveries or test anomalies
- Ability to travel 4 days every 6 weeks to Denver and/or other Artemis test facilities
- Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews
- Perform other duties as required

- Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.
- BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school
- On location position - situational telework only
- Ability to travel to Denver or other Artemis test facilities
- Knowledge and understanding of Linux and other scripting languages
- Ability to work with others across organizations
- Ability to effectively communicate technical data
- Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings
- Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
- Experience working in a team environment
- Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment
