POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible to manage shipping/receiving, inventory control, and scheduling throughout the organization. They do this while maximizing the use of lean practices, visual systems, a continuous improvement philosophy, and workforce flexibility. This position will evaluate the performance of employees within assigned areas and is responsible for the development and growth of their team members. This person is part of the Operations leadership team so will work closely with the other managers to guide the business to achieve all objectives including budget attainment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
• Develop, evaluate, implement, and maintain Visual ERP systems, metrics, measurements, and processes to ensure efficient operations and to remain consistent with lean practices.
• Responsible for training (including cross-training), coaching, development, and evaluation for all employees within assigned areas of responsibility.
• Responsible for daily inventory transactions to maintain accurate perpetual inventory. This includes material receipts, WIP transactions, shipments, location moves, and all adjustments.
• Responsible for inventory levels on all finished goods, WIP, and raw material. Arranges and makes recommendations, as needed, for disposal of surplus and aged inventory.
• Inventory Accuracy-Responsible to generate reports, manage adjustments/transactions, and complete root cause analysis. Manage any year-end physical inventory activities.
• Monthly manual Cycle Count – Oversee, coordinate, and ensure the accuracy of all activities associated with the Cycle Count process and month-end inventory procedures.
• Production Scheduling – Lead team in proper work order releasing, lead time quoting, and capacity planning. Work closely with production to make sure the dispatch lists (or other device) are effective tools to communicate what to run and when including leading production team to improve schedule compliance.
• Improve lead-times as necessary and meet on-time delivery targets. Determine root causes for lead-time and on-time delivery if missed.
• Shipping and Receiving - ensure shipping and receiving processes are efficient and effective. Work with freight companies to ensure our product is received and delivered timely, in good condition, and for the best price.
• Work closely with Purchasing to ensure material is available when needed and that tasks are distributed properly with Planning Analyst.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILTIES
The Scheduling Manager will manage all functions within their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Work cross-functionally with internal resources: Customer Care, Marketing, Sales, Art, Production, Quality, and Engineering to bring viable solutions to the business
• Manage multiple projects and/or priorities at once
• Ensures 5S programs are in place, being followed, and improved.
• Prioritize, communicate, and achieve goals and tasks to meet personal and business objectives.
• Ensure effective relations by providing coaching and development of team, including delivering timely performance reviews (rocks, iip’s, stay interviews, annual reviews, etc.)
• Demonstrates the ability to lead people and get results through others
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School, HSED or GED is required; college degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing and/or screen-printing industry; at least 3 years in a supervisory and/or manager role
• Experience working in an ISO environment;
• Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
• Computer experience including manufacturing software, Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and Access)
• Proven ability to supervise, motivate, and coach team members
• Excellent organizational and people skills including negotiating ability
• Ability to understand and use data to analyze performance and solve problems (8D problem solving experience preferred)
• Ability to work independently but will maximize resources through teamwork
