McMillen is seeking an experienced estimator with a minimum of 6-8 years of experience. This position will be based out of our Boise office. Preferred areas of experience include DOT and USACE heavy civil and environmental (hydroelectric, water treatment, wastewater treatment, river restoration, and fisheries).
Requirements :
- Effectively determine the bid strategies required for the company to be successful as well as plan and coordinate and supervise large projects.
- Review all final estimate packages to insure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation.
- Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as required.
- Gather details and maintain current market data to accurately estimate construction, material, and soft costs associated with project construction.
- Stay familiar with current regulatory requirements.
- Develop documentation of cost and schedule in support of the bid process.
- Prepare written documents and narratives to support the proposal development process.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
- Must understand the design build process and have experience working with design teams during the bid process.
