Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator
McNally-Nimergood Crane Rentals
McNally-Nimergood Crane Rentals, a growing, family-owned and operated crane rental company dedicated to both its employees and customers, places safety as its top priority. To strengthen its safety culture and programs, the company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company-specific safety standards. The EHS Coordinator will act as the primary contact for all safety and environmental matters, including incident response, investigations, customer qualification processes, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and enhance field safety performance.
- Coordinate and monitor employee safety and OSHA compliance both in the field and at the McNally-Nimergood yard.
- Work closely with team members to understand their needs and provide safety and environmental compliance support.
- Schedule and conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 45001/14001 standards.
- Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any findings during field visits and internal audits.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action plans to address NCRs.
- Lead pre-project planning, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and project kickoff meetings related to customer safety and environmental requirements.
- Assist with safety training programs to meet government regulations and company standards.
- Monitor and maintain third party safety programs.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, occupational safety, or construction management (3-5 years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree).
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction or crane-related industries.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 is preferred, though not required.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CHST, CSP, ASP) are preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical background in construction, cranes, or heavy equipment.
- Experience with job site audits and inspections is essential.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA compliance, and safety program development and management.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer and cell phone, and communicate clearly.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and the ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Good vision and mental focus are required for detailed tasks.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends.
- Regular travel to job sites is expected.
- Overnight travel when necessary
Working Conditions:
This role involves both office-based and outdoor work at construction and business job sites.
