Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain project plans and project tasks.
- Oversee project plans, scope, schedules, and timelines.
- Prepare, distribute, and present project agenda and project status and progress reports.
- Participate in project status meetings.
- Monitor changes, risks, actions, and issues and escalate, as appropriate.
- Leverage other PM resources for project work.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality.

- Bachelor's degree in business management or a business-related field.
- 3 years of progressive Project Management experience.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities, a must.
- Experience managing or participating in various types of projects using project management software.
- Project management experience (project inception to closure)
- The ability to multi-task with a strong attention to details and quality of work.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Self-starter with initiative and ability to keep up with pm industry trends.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Flexible and possess the ability to make decisions and recommendations.
- Pre-employment and annual MVR checks will be required during your employment with the company for this position.
- Residence status established within the State of North Carolina and the ability to come onsite in the Durham Office, as needed by the PMO.
- Background and sex offender checks will be performed for pre-employment and annually during your employment with the company.
- This role will be required to adhere to the MCNC Substance Abuse policy, which may include drug/alcohol screening at hire and periodically or randomly during employment.
- Experience working with project management frameworks (i.e. Agile, Kanban, Scrum and/or hybrid-methodologies) is a plus.
- Familiarity with non-traditional project management approaches is a plus.
