\nThe Laundry Attendant at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Boston/Peabody maintains a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel.
\n\n
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
\n\n
- \n
- Performs all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading of washers, dryers, and laundry chutes, folding, storing and delivering. \n
- Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management. \n
- Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts. \n
- Fold linens/towels and stock linen carts, as required. \n
- Understand operation of washing machines and dryers. \n
- Clean dryer filter daily and maintain all equipment as trained. \n
- Always practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests and fellow employees. \n
- Sweep and mop laundry floors storing all linens off the floor. \n
- Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris. \n
- Be familiar with all Company policies and Brand Standards. \n
- Stocks all linen closets throughout the hotel, as applicable. \n
- Perform other duties as assigned. \n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn. \n
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations. \n
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and clearly. \n
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure. \n
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full), with potential weight between 50-400 pounds. \n
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer, with potential weight between 25-150lbs \n
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. \n
- Must have a desire to serve all guests. \n
- Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job. \n
