Garage Door Estimator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Garage Door Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate assessments of garage door installation and repair projects while also focusing on generating new leads and expanding our customer base. You will work closely with customers, contractors, and installation teams to provide exceptional service and maintain high-quality standards. Additionally, you will play a key role in business development by identifying opportunities for new projects and building relationships that foster long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimating and Assessing Projects:
• Conduct on-site visits to evaluate potential garage door installations, repairs, or replacements.
• Accurately measure and assess the required materials, labor, and time for each project.
• Prepare detailed, clear, and professional estimates for customers, including cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and any additional services.
• Review customer needs, discuss product options, and make recommendations on garage doors and accessories.
• Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to ensure estimates align with company objectives and profitability.
• Lead Generation and Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and generating leads through networking, referrals, online research, and community involvement.
• Actively engage with potential customers through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings to create new sales opportunities.
• Follow up on inquiries, conduct presentations, and convert leads into successful sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients, establishing trust and ensuring repeat business.
• Represent the company at trade shows, community events, and industry functions to enhance visibility and develop new business contacts.
• Track and report on new leads and sales pipeline activity, maintaining accurate records in the CRM system.
• Customer Relations and Support:
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the estimation and sales process.
• Work with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets to offer tailored garage door solutions.
• Ensure clear communication between the customer and the installation team, ensuring all project expectations are met.
• Follow up with clients to ensure they understand the estimate, schedule, and any potential adjustments.
• General Responsibilities:
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product offerings, and installation techniques.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on all job sites.
• Collaborate with team members to improve the estimating process and customer service.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the garage door, construction, or related industry.
• Strong understanding of garage door systems, installation processes, and repair techniques.
• Excellent math skills and ability to generate accurate estimates based on measurements and scope of work.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the garage door or construction industry.
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
• Certifications related to garage door installation or estimating.
• Proven track record in sales and lead generation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.60 - $22.62 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
