Director of Data & Analytics

We are thrilled to be working with an exciting tech scale-up company in Greater NYC. They are looking to hire a Director of Data & Analytics to build and lead their data function within the Strategy & Operations team.



Reporting to the COO, this role is pivotal in establishing data infrastructure and analytics processes to enable smarter, data-driven decision-making across the company. This is a vital role in which you'll define the company's data strategy, optimize their tech stack, and drive key business decisions.







Roles and Responsibilities

• Data Infrastructure &Analytics
  • Optimize the data stack, including data warehousing and BI tools, ensuring scalability and accuracy as the company grows
  • Establish best practices for data governance, quality, and accessibility to ensure clean, reliable data across teams
  • Build dashboards and automated reporting to provide real-time visibility into business performance
• Data Science &Modeling
  • Develop predictive models to improve recommendations, user engagement, and revenue optimization
  • Lead experimentation strategy and statistical analyses to optimize business outcomes
  • Identify key business KPIs and ensure leadership has actionable insights
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product & Engineering, and GTM teams to integrate data-driven insights into product development, marketing campaigns, and growth strategies
  • Work cross-functionally to surface key insights that drive brand and creator acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
  • Serve as a thought leader, educating internal teams on data best practices and fostering a data-driven culture

Your Qualifications…

• Experience in data science, analytics, or related roles
• Experience in a leadership position, ideally with a proven track record of building out a team
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience writing performant queries for business insights
• Experience with Tabeleau and other data visualization tools
• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven track record of working autonomously, with strong organizational and time management skills and a high degree of ownership
• Experience working in high-growth tech startups
