JOB SUMMARY:  Provide supply technician services for Wewoka Indian Health Center

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Maintains stock control records, issues, receipts, storage allocation, stock control levels, variance and inventory adjustments using a supply management inventory system. Computer data entry establishes issue quantity estimates and par levels, application of economical quantity order principles for supplying, receiving, issuing stock, stock control and cost containment.
• Establishes and maintains a master electronic record log containing all items within the service unit.  Reviews item descriptions of all inventory items handled in the department.  Assigns item/index numbers to all items; Ensures input and allocation as new supplies are added into the system.
• Initiates store stock action based on review of monthly and daily reports and records.  Audits data on the system; Produces monthly and quarterly reports as established; Produces monthly inventory levels for restocking/reordering and adjusting levels according to usage.  Takes appropriate action to maintain availability of stock items and guards against supply outage while minimizing inventory costs.
• Reviews documents for accuracy, notes discrepancies.  Incumbent is responsible for setting discrepancies overage, incorrect prices, disposal of obsolete or expired stores items; Rotates supplies to avoid expiration and overstock of supplies.  Researches to determine cause and initiates action to reconcile discrepancies; Makes suggestions/recommendations to improve efficiency of supply procurement process and to economize supply usage.
• Serves as the property custodial Officer for Wewoka Indian Health Center, maintains the PMIS (Property Management Information system), make sure property is assigned to a user, disposal of property per IHS policy’s and make sure property has hand receipts along with being assigned to the correct person.
• Serves as UFMS receiver for all invoicing which requires a level 5 background check and credit check. Must be able to pass the back ground check.
