Company Description
McWane Ductile New Jersey is an industry leader in manufacturing water distribution and infrastructure products. As our country expanded, so did the need to supply growing cities with clean water and safely remove wastewater. Our location history starts in 1865 when Warren Foundry and Machine Company casted stoves, steam engines, mill gearing and other foundry related items. Currently we specialize in the casting of iron ductile pipes that range from 3" to 24" in diameter.
Job Description
Position 1 : Melting Spare
- Observing and maintaining magnesium, silicon, and chill material levels. Additionally, change lime bags as necessary.
- Pouring Iron
- Weigh coke and lime before each charge, check the coke and lime scale.
- Clean the cupola long runner.
- Clean pig bed and transfer ladle pits and any other areas assigned by supervisor.
- Work with supervisor if ladles need to be repaired before the production run.
- Communicate supervisor / s on issues that arise.
Position 2 : Casting Spare
Position 3 : Hot Line Spare
In this position, the team member will be trained and qualified to operate the following equipment
