Position Summary:
This role will provide analytical support for Asset Management on for the commercial portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the flow of information between Asset Management, Development, Property Management, Leasing, and other internal teams
- Maintain and update all reporting and tracking platforms, including capital plans, leasing activity, and comp sets for each asset
- Prepare deliverables/packages summarizing highlights, requirements, market information, and other financial data - coordinate across departments (accounting, operations, finance, legal, etc.)
- Assist in the creation, review, and updating of all required periodic reporting including monthly and quarterly reporting to internal and external customers, yearly budgeting, and weekly updates on pre-stabilized properties
- Design, build and improve upon existing Investor reporting templates
- Assist in evaluating existing assets by preparing ARGUS and Excel based cash flow models, including multi-tiered partnership waterfalls. ARGUS AE experience preferred
- Calculate IRR, NPV, equity multiples and partnership waterfall distributions. Prepare or review estimates for annual distributions of surplus cash
- Participate in the leasing process, including deal negotiation, joining update calls, tenant visits, reporting, and calculating financial benchmarks (NPV, NER, payback periods, etc)
- Work on ad-hoc projects and requests as needed (i.e. lease or loan abstract creation, lease analysis, miscellaneous income sources/scenario evaluation, hold / sell analysis, dispositions, refinancing, ownership buyouts, etc.).
- Candidate should expect to assist other functions within the Commercial department, including development, acquisitions, dispositions, property management, and leasing.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or real estate preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, respond to requests on a
- timely basis, and be flexible with changing business needs
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- ARGUS AE experience is a significant plus
- Experience with Yardi, as well as other computer applications is a plus
- Prior exposure to commercial real estate is a plus
