SUMMARY
The position will supervise, oversee and execute all inventory control responsibilities which include, but are not limited to conducting daily cycle counts and inventory related processes and issues. Responsible for accurately maintaining detailed records of merchandise in existing inventory as well as inventory on order. Daily communication with upper management as well as the customer on inventory, expiration and adjustment issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
- Prepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages and adjustment reports.
- Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in facility.
- Supervises and coordinates the taking of physical inventories and posts totals into inventory records manually or using computer
- Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory
- Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
- Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price and cost.
- Prepares list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.
- Oversees pulling product for disposal and monitoring corresponding adjustments.
- Coordinates counting and applying placards to pallets with quality issues
- Oversees work performed by support personnel
- Corresponds with customer requests as necessary
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong managerial and directorial skills; At least 2 years of managing cycle count teams
- Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
- Good leadership skills
- Ability to delegate
- Good interpersonal skills for interacting and coordinating work with the departments of the organization
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Prior experience in inventory control, materials management, supply chain/logistics as well as Physical Inventory Procedures. Working experience at least 2-5 years in inventory management is a plus. Good analytical skills. The understanding and aptitude to work with computers (Inventory and Microsoft Office programs). Red Prairie Inventory module experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to physically count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
REASONING ABILILTY
Ability to define problems establishes facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
