We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join our team in Barnardsville, North Carolina.
Job Summary
This locum tenens position offers both inpatient and outpatient care with call responsibilities in a well-supported community hospital setting. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care while collaborating with a team of medical professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide delivery and surgical services for low- and high-risk pregnancies, including cesareans, VBACs, breech births, and multiple births.
- Perform routine and complex OB/GYN procedures, such as amniocentesis, low-forceps delivery, and cesarean decision-making.
- Conduct gynecological surgeries, including cystectomies, ovary removals, ectopic pregnancy management, and laparoscopic minor procedures.
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- ACLS certification is required; intermediate fetal monitoring certification is preferred.
- A valid North Carolina license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum recent procedural requirements, as listed above.
Support Structure
- A team of RNs, CMAs, and midwives will assist during shifts.
- The hospital has a 15-bed OB/GYN unit with full support for inpatient needs.
- Midwife assistance is available for weekday calls, with physician-only weekend call coverage.
