Architecture, Senior Technical DesignerResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise to project teams regarding building materials, detailing, code analysis, project documentation, construction administration, and other project-centric processes.Provide technical detailing in a variety of construction materials and building types.Collaborate with designers and teams to translate design concepts into sound technical solutions.Mentors, plans, and organizes the work of techniciansProvides instruction and sets objectives for staff.Provides direction on unconventional and / or complex problems and possible solutions.Attends internal project team meetings and client meetings.Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under minimal supervision from ArchitectsQualifications25 years experienceBachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited college or universityGeneral CharacteristicsMaintains knowledge of current industry trends on space, function, materials, etc.Proficiency with computer software including Revit Architecture requiredWorking knowledge of Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Suite / Bluebeam preferredTime management and organization skills with the ability to be involved and remain current on issues relating to a number of one-two projects in various stagesDemonstrated ability to develop awareness and begin to lead team coordination of contract documentsStrong graphic, verbal, and written communications skillsPositive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multidiscipline TeamAbility to direct and lead a production team of architectural teammates to develop and orchestrate full team coordination of contract documentsDemonstrated practical knowledge of codes and related industry standardsProduction experience preparing deliverable drawing sets in Revit Architecture requiredExcellent time management and organization skills with the ability to become involved in and remain current on issues relating to a number of concurrent. projects in various stagesAbility to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriatelySelf-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skillsPositive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multidiscipline teamCan be relied upon to present directly to the client on technical and design solutions.
