Job Summary
MDVIP Practice Management, LLC is looking for a Front Office Medical Assistant to join our team! This is a highly customer-centric role with a strong focus on patient interaction. Responsibilities include front desk and back office functions as needed and will include travel to other nearby practice locations in the metro Atlanta area. Meeting and greeting patients. Scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments. Processing patient payments. Entering charges, payments, and balancing the day in the computer. Accurately completing and documenting patient medical and physical histories and other related items in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Recording vital signs, performing EKG, spirometry and or other similar non-complex office procedures. Aiding the physician during treatment, examination, and or testing of patients - may include injections and immunizations. Coordinating phone requests to refill prescription drug medications in accordance with physician instructions.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Knowledge: High School diploma or GED with 2 year of related business experience. 2 years of experience in a primary medical practice setting are required (combination of front and back office). Recent phlebotomy experience required. BLS required. Medical Assistant certification required. Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
