Building Code Administrator
Upper Macungie Township

Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, PA is seeking an organized, motivated individual to serve as Building Code Administrator working in the Department of Community Development.
The candidate should possess strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, and be computer proficient.
The position has the responsibilities for administering and enforcing the provisions of the Uniform Construction Code, International Building Code, and International Code Council, also include the review of proposed building plans and specifications for conformance to the Building Code, coordinating code provisions with requirements of other Township departments, supervising the timely flow of applications through the plan review and permitting process, as well as providing professional assistance to Township management staff, including code enforcement.
The successful candidate must submit to a background check and pre-employment screening and will be required to attend evening meetings.
This position is full-time"exempt".

Required Experience
The ideal candidate will have education in the field of Code Enforcement or inspection with five (5 ) or more years of experience in code administration; have obtained their Certified Building Code Officer certification 29, Commercial Building Inspector certification 15 and Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner certification 23 preferred; possesses knowledge of the PA UCC, adopted International Codes, building inspections principles and techniques, building construction and design methods.
Benefits
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
Salary range: $74.5K-$78K per year with excellent benefits.
