Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has an exciting opportunity available for a highly motivated Experienced Aviation Engineer to join our aviation team at our Sioux Falls, SD office.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and leading aviation engineering projects
- Evaluating and analyzing existing projects
- Preparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits
- Leading proactive client interactions and communications with aviation clients
- Performing QA/QC tasks including leading design reviews
- Serving as the project manager and mentoring project staff
- Serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projects
A valid driver's license, the ability to pass a background check for badging at airports, and some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all the following:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience
- PE license in the state of South Dakota, or the ability and willingness to become registered within 3 months of hire
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following:
- Familiarity with FAA Standard Specifications
- Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and Design Standards
- Experience with Airport Engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D
