Responsibilities will consist of leading cultural resource projects done under federal, state, and local guidelines, including managing projects, project teams and clients; agency coordination; and business development activities, including proposals and professional organization involvement. Will also include completing some technical studies done under their research specialty (architectural history or history). Preferred locations for this position would be Richmond or Fredericksburg (VA), Columbia (MD), Wilmington (DE), or Washington DC. However, we want to find the most qualified person that can contribute to our team, and we are open to other locations throughout the U.S. who have had notable mid-Atlantic experience. The possibility of remote work may be available depending on candidate experience and qualifications. A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required no matter your location.
The successful candidate will have :
- Bachelor’s degree in historic preservation or a related field such as history, architectural history, public history; AND at least fourteen (14) years of relevant architectural history experience
- Master’s degree in historic preservation or related field such as history, architectural history, public history; AND at least twelve (12) years of relevant architectural history experience
- Meets Secretary of Interior Standards in their respective field; and
- Has a valid driver’s license
