MISSION


Ringo Studio is a New York-based design practice working around the world to create immersive spaces and sensorial experiences. We believe that design can inspire emotion, empower community, and bring the extraordinary to unexpected places. Our work ranges from creative brand direction and retail consulting to designing sculptural environments and objects. Our artistic approach to molding space ultimately aims to take people on a journey, offer a shift of perspective, and heighten the experience by engaging all senses.


Led by Madelynn Ringo, our boutique design studio collaborates with legacy brands, startup companies, cultural establishments, and creative visionaries to realize their ideas through bold and disruptive design. 


Senior Designer & Project Manager: 

This role participates in the design, development and execution of Ringo Studio’s creative projects, leading projects from Schematic Design through Construction Administration and ensuring that design solutions align with the studio's mission and quality standards. Additionally, this role provides guidance to junior designers and manages project timelines, budgets, and communication with clients while actively contributing to the growth and efficiency of the studio.


RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and Project Management

  • Lead projects from Schematic Design through Construction Administration, including managing project timelines, deliverables, budget, and quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough and effective design research
  • Employ a visionary approach to materiality, mood, space, color, and light to create compelling and engaging environments.
  • Continuously push creative boundaries and encourage the team to explore new design techniques and concepts.
  • Oversee the creation and accuracy of project plans and specifications and document all technical and design aspects of projects.
  • Solve emerging problems independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Effectively coordinate with external vendors
  • Provide clear and effective communication both internally and externally
  • Independently prepare and deliver excellent client presentations.
  • Mentor and manage junior staff, ensuring task delegation and quality of deliverables.
  • Continuously align project objectives with the Ringo Studio’s business goals and adapt to unique assignments based on studio needs.
  • Strive for efficiency in designing within project budgets and manage schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.



ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership and Team Development


  • Set goals, delegate tasks, and provide oversight and feedback to team members.
  • Foster team consensus, make timely decisions, and encourage a positive and collaborative workflow
  • Stay informed about industry trends and share relevant insights with the team
  • Assist in developing client relationships, reinforce studio values with existing clients, and maintain a professional work environment.
  • Motivate and energize your teammates
  • Contribute to studio initiatives such as special projects, social media engagement and building brand awareness.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
  • Experience designing for retail, lifestyle, or wellness brands.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
  • Proficiency in Rhino, Enscape, G-Suite, Slack, Adobe Creative Suite, Monday.com and other relevant design software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Construction Administration experience is preferred. 
  • Demonstrates ability to iterate rapidly and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
