What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architect - Federal Facilities position at Mead & Hunt?
Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for an architect. This position would lead project teams focused on delivering architectural services for federal defense and/or laboratory projects.
Responsibilities include coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members; and working closely with clients and contractor/developer design/build partners. Assist Project Architect with coordinating and leading project teams; building and maintaining strong team relationships; executing project workplans; scheduling and facilitating team meetings; developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). As a national practice, this position is expected to travel up to 25%.

The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in architecture from an accredited college or university
- At least 7 years of relevant experience
- Current architectural license in the state office is located
The Ideal Candidate Will Have Any/all Of The Following
- Experience preparing deliverables for each stage of project development for federal defense or laboratory facilities
- Experience providing bidding and construction administration phase services for federal defense or laboratory facilities
- LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional
- NCARB-Certified
- Experience with state and local government projects
- Experience with aviation facility projects is a plus
