Job Description:
Meade Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to join our team. This role is focused on producing accurate and high-quality mechanical and plumbing designs using Revit for a variety of projects. This is a production-focused position that requires precision and consistency. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in drafting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties:
- Develop high-quality mechanical and plumbing system layouts in Revit with speed and accuracy.
- Produce detailed HVAC ductwork, piping, and equipment placement drawings based on engineering markups and project specifications.
- Follow established drafting standards and templates to maintain consistency across projects.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project teams to incorporate changes and updates into Revit models.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry codes, client requirements, and company standards.
- Maintain organization and file management of Revit models, families, and project sheets.
- Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness before submission.
- Assist in updating and revising existing drawings as projects evolve.
- Stay updated on the latest Revit tools and workflows to enhance efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience using Revit for mechanical or plumbing drafting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow engineering markups precisely.
- Ability to work efficiently in a production-driven environment with tight deadlines.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience drafting HVAC and plumbing systems for data centers, industrial facilities, or commercial buildings.
- Knowledge of MEP drafting standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with 3D coordination and clash detection in Revit.
