Salary: $145K - $210K plus bonus
Relocation: Yes will provide
MUST HAVE: Strong knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Hand Soldering, Selective wave / wave soldering technology, and conformal coating with experience in lead-free processes (RoHS compliance.
Job Summary:
Responsible for leading and managing the process engineering team. Primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient and effective execution of manufacturing processes for various clients. Will oversee the entire lifecycle of production, from process development and optimization to quality control and continuous improvement.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for diverse contract manufacturing projects.
•
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and design efficient processes to meet specifications.
•
Work closely with clients to understand their product specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing requirements.
•
Act as a liaison between the contract manufacturing team and clients to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure project success.
•
Establish and maintain rigorous quality control measures to meet or exceed client expectations.
•
Implement and monitor quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
•
Collaborate with the finance and procurement teams to manage costs effectively, ensuring profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
•
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
•
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
•
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for the contract manufacturing team.
•
Analyze data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
•
Oversee the selection, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
•
Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and troubleshoot issues promptly.
•
Design and develop fixtures and tooling including selection and coordination with suppliers.
•
Optimize process yield and productivity through continuous improvement programs.
•
Collaborate with internal and external quality teams to resolve customer quality issues related to manufacturing process issues.
•
Provide KPI data on critical processes throughout the manufacturing floor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proven experience in process engineering, preferably in a contract manufacturing environment.
•
In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
•
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
•
Experience with cost management and budgeting.
•
Strong understanding of Six Sigma, IPC standards, including IPC certification (IPC-A-600, 610, 620, and JSTD-001 or equivalent).
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
At least five years’ experience in process engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial supervisory role.
