Meadow View Nursing Facility is looking for a qualified activities aide
Qualifications :
1. Demonstrate competency in working with the elderly
2. Satisfactory personal and professional references
3. Education and or experience in activities / program planning
Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Assist in the planning, organizing, and preparing of activities for the residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well being.
2. Carry out programs that are assigned on the activities calendar.
3. Carry out the programs in a timely manner.
4. Remind, invite, and encourage residents to attend and participate in the various activities available.
5. Transport residents to and from the activities.
6. Supervises, instructs, and assists the residents in various scheduled activities.
7. Daily computer documentation of resident activity participation.
8. Provide 1 : 1 visits and or room visits according to resident's plan of care or as determined by activities director.
9. Work evening and weekend hours as required.
10. Promote and maintain good interpersonal relationship with all residents, volunteers, vistitors, all other staff and personnel.
11. Keep director of activities informed of any materials needed or programs requested by the residents.
12. Any and all other duties as required by the director of activities.
Specific Requirements :
- Must function independently, organize responsibilities, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work with residents, personnel and support agencies.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Constant standing, walking, and transporting residents during working hours.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
