What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Services Director position at Meadow View Nursing Center?
The Social Services Director position is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, administering and evaluating the social services program for the residents of the Nursing Facility.
Responsibilities :
Develops and maintains policies and procedures for the Social Services Department based on review and interpretation of regulations.
Assures a Social Service program that is in full compliance with program standards of licensing agencies.
Practices supportive intervention, counseling with residents in reaching conflict resolution, also provides education to residents.
Be a productive member of the interdisciplinary team on all appropriate committees and attend all appropriate team meetings to provide
professional feedback and education as requested and / or needed.
Performs additional functions or duties as assigned.
Education :
High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field is required.
