What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary History Teacher position at Meadowbrook Church Incorporated?
Meadowbrook Academy is currently seeking to hire a full-time Secondary History Teacher for the 25/25 school year. This individual should be an active and dedicated Christian who is, or willing to become, a member of Meadowbrook Church. A person who will hold in confidence matters of information that may be sensitive to the well-being of others. A person committed to excellence in their responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution.
- Certified OR working towards certification by the State of Florida.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of child growth and development, especially of characteristics of children in the age group assigned.
- Knowledge of current educational research.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of current technology (Newline Smart Board).
- Knowledge of learning styles and skill in using varied teaching methods to address student learning styles.
- Skill in oral and written communication with students, parents, and others.
- Ability to plan and implement activities for maximum effectiveness.
- Ability to effectively assess levels of student achievement, analyze test results, and prescribe actions for improvement.
- Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn.
- Ability to work effectively with peers, administrators, and others.
