The Company: Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a non-profit organization in Escondido that opened in 2009. We are licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and offer independent, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. We seek to help our residents age in place as we strive toward of mission to "Honor God by serving others with love and compassion."
Shifts: Day shift Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:30pm or 8:00am-5:00pm
Job Description: We're looking for a dependable and caring individual who takes joy in providing excellent service to our seniors. Residents and their families often comment that they love our staff's friendliness and dedication -- and we're looking for more people who share that mindset.
Our maintenance team performs ongoing preventative maintenance and responds to Work Order requests both for residential units and for site common areas. Maintenance staff communicate directly with our residents, staff from other departments, and outside contracted vendors in order to coordinate and carry out services. Tasks vary but may utilize mechanical, plumbing, appliance, carpentry, or other similar trade skills; when possible, our team distributes maintenance tasks based on specialized skill and interest.
Qualifications: To be successful in this position, candidates must...
- have experience with facility maintenance tasks
- demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop skills in multiple areas of maintenance
- seek excellence in service, even in the little things we do for residents
- communicate appropriately with residents, staff, and vendors
- be able to work independently and as part of a team
- be able to prioritize requests and follow through with scheduled tasks
- maintain professionalism in following HIPAA standards and in promoting resident dignity
- follow safety guidelines and company policies & procedures
- be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and basic physical exam
- be able to bend, stretch, pull, push, lift (at least 40 lbs.), work on feet, etc. as needed for maintenance tasks
